Warwickshire

… you would like to start a small group.

Hi folks, I am in my late forties, not as fit as I would like to be, but have developed a keen interest in what seems to be becoming quite a trend with old time campers, such as myself.

I would like to discuss, learn, and practice some basic bush craft skills with like minded people. In a safe, and relaxed environment.

Having just lit my first camp fire without matches, and awaiting my new Kelly Kettle, I feel that Bear Grylls and Ray Mears had better watch their 6! If only!!!

In all seriousness, if you would like to meet for a pint, and consider treking into the woodland with me, on a semi-regular bases, with a length of paracord, and a sharp knife, then please drop me a line.

Wiltshire

Hello All,

I would like to get together with other like minded people in the Wiltshire area to share knowledge and experience about bushcraft. In particular if anyone knows of any freindly farmers that would allow some bushcraft activities in his woods then please let me know.

Walk Softly.

Hi, julian I have been into survivle and woodsmanship from about the mid 1950s, only then we were looked on as tramps I have watched with intrest as pepol like ray mears and lofty wisemam and all the outher very talented folk have shown emence skills in our craft,I am now 61 years old and due to the fact I am not as fit and well as I might be, I have had to ajust to a new way of prepairing myself for what ever may come my way. in the last five or six years Ibeen more into prepairdness, but still keeping up my outdoor skills be it somewhat reduced. now here is the lesson that some might not have thought of yet, with all the years I have been doing this I got it to late,DO NOT PUT ALL YOUR EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLYS IN ONE PLACE!! I did and some scum set fire to my garage/come storeroom and I have lost everything and I am to old to recover from this? but I will give it a bloody good try.wishing you and all the guys and girls who follow this calling the best laurence

Got something to say?
